Float Glass Integrity Inspection System Description


The float glass integrity inspection system is installed on the cold-end production line, usually after the cutting process (some customers also install it after cleaning, and the position can be flexibly arranged according to process requirements). After the float glass undergoes the cutting process, defect inspection is performed on its cut edges, corners and surfaces. Non-contact comprehensive inspection is carried out on the glass continuously and horizontally conveyed on CV wheels. The inspection machine is equipped with a dedicated coded signal generator to accurately sample the operating speed of the glass plate, so as to eliminate the influence of speed variations during glass conveyance on inspection accuracy. In addition, multiple types of light sources are designed to ensure the inspection capability for various kinds of defects. For thin glass, the production line shall adopt belt conveyance to reduce glass slipping. Furthermore, the FSP can identify the marks printed at the front end, determine the corresponding glass grade (such as Grade A or Grade B), and send the identification result to the sorting end.
